Malibu morning picture of the day - Monday, July 21, 2014

Dear family, friends, and gentle readers,

It's a blue Monday out the edge of America today.

Sometimes it looks to me like the clouds are dancing. Maybe you see things here yourself. Summer skies are hallucinogenic, but without the nasty side effects of chemical assistance.

The also-ran is just a tad to the left. I really loved the triangular-funnel cloud  on the left.

For those of you reading my story, here's a snip of dialogue in the piece yet to come. The posting is late--it was an obligation-filled weekend.

"Laoshi (teacher), what does 'leading by the balls' mean?"
"It means Sally is the kind of gal who can tie any dude's cojones into a tidy, little furoshiki package for her 'sack' bento. AND the dude will like it. What a woman."
"I'm afraid that that still needs a translation."
"She's good at manipulating men. Stay tuned. I'll be hiring her to be your next teacher. She's got the lesson plans that your mother lacks."

If that makes absolutely no sense to you, then you need to go back and read all of my "Three Loves Seven" posts.

Grandson Julius with his
Uncle Doug
And as a parting shot, when you're almost one year old, extreme joy comes as easily as watching your uncle pull the string on a helium balloon. When you're almost 56, extreme joy comes from watching that process happen and remembering it yourself.

Have a wonderful week.

Love,
Pops

Be truthful and frank, but be polite. If you use excessive profanity, I'll assume you have some kind of character flaw like Dr. Wong. Tks!
