Malibu morning picture of the day - Monday, December 7, 2015

Dear Family, Friends, and Gentle Readers,

Southern California was in a warm spell over the weekend (almost 80 degrees F in Hollywood) and supposedly it'll continue, with relatively clear skies. Here's the Monday morning view from the coast at roughly 7 AM.

All this light blue is the most representative shot, but he varies as you face the rising sun. Here's scene #2.

It's early enough that you get a lot of horizon color. The air is so clear that if you zoom into the horizon, it almost looks like the distant mountains of Orange County are just across Santa Monica Bay.

It's a very strange optical effect thinking how that is well over 100 miles of atmosphere between and that mountain and me.

I certainly hope you had a good weekend. I had a fine meal at the famous Tam O'Shanter restaurant in Atwater, where Walt Disney frequently dined after getting off work from his nearby Hyperion Studios. When you go, make a reservation and reserve the Walt Disney table if you can.

Gotta get to work, so should you.

Love,
Pops

Be truthful and frank, but be polite. If you use excessive profanity, I'll assume you have some kind of character flaw like Dr. Wong. Tks!
