It's Friday and yet another clear blue day at the coast.

And we're going into another warm weekend, so SoCal peeps, time for maybe your REALLLLY last summer day at the beach ...

I heard on the news this morning that Matt Damon's new movie is out this weekend, The Martian, based on the SF novel of the same name. And they said it was a great PR move to have scheduled both the eclipse of the moon AND the finding of water on Mars as lead-ups to this historic Damon event.

So, who am I then, NOT to treat those all as lead-ups to my showing the work of this Fairfax street artist? Gentlefolk, here we have the Space Pets Series on a utility box by the artist "@ducexone" presented on Melrose near Fairfax.

Kudos on the foreshortening on Space Dog #2. And just to tie it into current events even MORE, you'll notice these are all Roman Catholic pets animals (reference portraits must have been taken on Ash Wednesday as you will note the imposition of ashes on these critters), presented here on the heels of Pope Francis' recent visit to the U.S. of A.
