Malibu morning picture of the day - Tuesday, September 1, 2015

Dear Family, Friends, and Gentle Readers,

The last third of 2015 begins today. If you've got a signature project slated for this year, this is time to kick it into high gear and push it to the finish.

In the meantime, before you put on your kicking shoes, here's today's picture:

The alien spacecraft is looking for someone it seems. An overcast September morning. Here's a 2nd view.

In 10 days that green lawn will again be filled with American flags for our annual observation of 9/11. Watch this space and you'll eventually see them.

paint on plastic trash can.

So here's a little color for ya. A painted trash can in the Hillcrest neighborhood of San Diego. It's a sunset scene, but it was even taken at sunset, so it got a lot of end-of-day light as well. Hillcrest is where their primary, independent art supply store is, TWO used bookstores across the street from one another--oh, and lots of gay men having coffee together too.

San Diego proper is such a walkable town. One time I stayed there I went to a play at the Old Globe Theatre in Balboa Park and walked back to my hotel room on Hotel Circle in 40 minutes; those areas look distant from each other on a street map but they really aren't.

That's it for Tuesday. Have a wonderful day.

Love,
Pops

Be truthful and frank, but be polite. If you use excessive profanity, I'll assume you have some kind of character flaw like Dr. Wong. Tks!
