Malibu morning picture of the day - Wednesday, May 13, 2015

Dear Family, Friends, and Gentle Readers,

They say it's supposed to be drizzly today in So Cal. Haven't seen it yet. This is what we got at 7:30 AM.

Blue sky peeking through clouds, water looking a little grey this morning. A nice scene to get out of the car and enter into and take some deep breaths, no?  Here's a 2nd look to the east.

Cascades of sunbeams falling down on the water.

Do you have to go into any kind of business meeting today? If so, let me equip with you some old sayings of Heraclitus that let you contribute something without committing to a position, but it might make you look smart at best, or terribly deep at worst:

"Y'know, the road up and the road down are one and the same ..."

"Y'know, the beginning and the end are on the same place on a circle ..."

"Y'know, you can't ever step into the same river twice ..."

Throw "Heraclitus says" in there and you get credit for being an responsible scholar who attributes his sources. Oh, and make sure you pronounce the name hurr-RAH-cli-tuss. Say "y'know" because it puts this homespun vibe on your presentation.

So there y'go, yer all set. Go get 'em Tiger.

Love,
Pops

Be truthful and frank, but be polite. If you use excessive profanity, I'll assume you have some kind of character flaw like Dr. Wong. Tks!
