Malibu morning picture of the day - Easter Monday, Monday, April 6, 2015

Dear Family, Friends, and Gentle Readers,

Well, it's another week isn't it? It was chilly this morning for L.A. but promises to just another clear day in the 70s here. This picture today is indicative:

Yep, a standard "Blue on Blue" day. There's a hint of Catalina Island there if you focus hard enough.

Zooming in over the land, to the east, we have this view of some clouds floating over the city.

In today's headline, you will note that it is "Easter Monday," meaning the Monday following Easter Sunday. It's not observed so much in the U.S. I think the White House has its egg roll party on this day.

Tour guide and street artist Gallo speaking on Saturday
Hope you had a great weekend. I decided to take a graffiti art walking tour offered in L.A. My legs survived 2 hours of walking, but only barely--they were killing me the next day. Got to hear a lot about L.A. street culture from a street artist and saw a lot of interesting things in the "Arts District" which I would have just called the warehouse district east of Little Tokyo.

I saw several images that have appeared in documentaries and movies, so the street art here is much more photographed than my neighborhood. Kind of like going to a regional museum of sorts.

There is a lot more to be said about this tour, but I'll save those comments for a later time.

In the meantime, enjoy these views from the Arts District, and get your week off to a great start.

Love,
Pops

Be truthful and frank, but be polite. If you use excessive profanity, I'll assume you have some kind of character flaw like Dr. Wong. Tks!
