Malibu morning picture of the day - Wednesday, December 10, 2014

Dear Family, Friends, and Gentle Readers,

Here is what Wednesday looks like this morning.

Basic clear blue today. Those of you facing a Nor'easter, I am truly sorry. We are supposed to get rain Thursday and Friday.

There is no second look today. Again, it all will look the same as above.

A bevy of bottoms; I hope you know what I mean ...
This Sunday my community band plays a few Christmas tunes at our landlord church's holiday potluck party as part of our rental agreement. A lot of musicians grow to hate Christmas music because they have to play it so much, but it pays the rent, and in our case, an amateur group, it's literally true.

The tuba players decided they would play on the sidewalk prior to event and maybe get a few people to come in and hear us play as well. If you wonder what five tuba players sound like practicing chamber music, wonder no more.

Since this is practice and not performance, my colleagues will probably not appreciate my sharing, but this is sausage being made. And lest any you think that tuba-baritone horn is strictly for guys, out of our five regulars, only one is a guy in our band.
If you want to come hear us fully practiced, just hang out at the Hollywood Lutheran Church this Sunday, around 11 AM or so.

Love,
Pops

Be truthful and frank, but be polite. If you use excessive profanity, I'll assume you have some kind of character flaw like Dr. Wong. Tks!
