Malibu morning picture of the day - Thursday, October 2, 2014

Dear family, friends, and gentle readers,

Here's what Thursday looks like.

You can't tell it from this picture, but the Santa Ana winds are whipping all flags horizontal right now. Gonna a be hot for a few days they say. It's uncommonly hot right now and it not being ever 9 AM yet.  There's a layer of low cloud/fog way out there (looks like a white stripe) and you see peeking out above the Palos Verdes Peninsula on the left and Catalina Island on the right.

We have not had a major brush fire in this part of LA County for a while. Hopin' we dodge the bullet again, but we'll see. Just takes one cigarette or a spark from a lawnmower.

Here's the second shot, with a car gleaming in the sun, like a hero's tooth in a cheesy action film. Still it's good to get midground in now and then to remind you that the ocean is vast and not just a strip of blue.

Gotta pay the rent. See you tomorrow.

Love,
Pops

Be truthful and frank, but be polite. If you use excessive profanity, I'll assume you have some kind of character flaw like Dr. Wong. Tks!
