Malibu morning picture of the day - Friday, August 22, 2014

Good morning to you all! Here is your Friday picture.

And the day sweeps out to the right, almost like a visual trumpet call. The parabola spreads out before us.

Sometimes I wonder why the circle got top billing as the "perfect" shape and not the parabola, since the parabola happens much more often.

It's the form of "reality"; how things are; how if you understand it, you can drive the engine that processes the world.

Slow growth, acceleration, momentum, brief peak achievement, dissipation, decay, inertia, linear progression--these are all the embedded lessons in the parabola.

The prima donna of geometry...

A circle tells you that everything is equal, the same, unable to rest, gives you only one point of contact, unending, perfection realized. If you've got one on your finger, take a look--see all the gaps? The redness of where it pushes against your flesh? It only reminds you how imperfect YOU are.

How I hate her.

But, back to nature for a second look. And again, the deep-pile carpet of low clouds sits on surface of the deeps.

I'm sure there's a circle in that field of vision somewhere, eh?

Take on the weekend people. Do something nice.

Love,
Pops

Be truthful and frank, but be polite. If you use excessive profanity, I'll assume you have some kind of character flaw like Dr. Wong. Tks!
