Malibu morning picture of the day - Monday, June 2, 2014

Good Monday to you all,

I've been away for a week on vacation, but it's back to the grind and the education mill. Here's what it looked like from the parking lot today.

Above is a battle of the air masses. High pressure from the early summer we've been experiencing is pushing back the typical marine layer of "June Gloom." Which will win today out at the coast? Probably clear skies.

Here's a view just a little more to the left.

Here's a shot a took on my way up to Reno along US Highway 395 last Wednesday morning--I was going to continuing ed conference.

Any snow that melts along this side of the Sierra mountains (eastern side) we get to use to flush our toilets in L.A.!  Yay us. In these pictures they don't look so big, but we're already about 4,000 feet up at this point.

I've decided my body doesn't like 500-mile all-day drives anymore. Part of becoming an old fart. It was pretty though. Nothin' but concrete and asphalt in L.A., so this was a welcome change.

Have a great start to your week.

Love,
Pops

Be truthful and frank, but be polite. If you use excessive profanity, I'll assume you have some kind of character flaw like Dr. Wong. Tks!
